A while back I was looking through the LEGO brick catalogue and noticed there’s a lot of bricks I think should exist, but currently do not yet exist. So I decided to make some myself. Here’s a couple bricks I designed that in my opinion could have some great usage in building sets and models. I designed these bricks to be as close as possible to what a hypothetical real LEGO brick would look like. I’m making the files public so if you have a 3D printer or something like that, you guys can make them for yourself. The files will however have the LEGO logo removed since legally I don’t think I’m allowed to do that. They come in SolidWorks, STL, and STEP files for those interested. First we have the inverted 2×4 stud reversal plate


This is your standard 2×4 plate but with a twist (literally). It has both studs and anti-studs on both faces. Allowing for thin mirrored builds. Sets like Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle could greatly benefit from bricks like these to build the underside of the shuttle wing in a way that matches the top. I know a lot of builders have complained how the underside of the set looks very underwhelming.
Next we have the inverted 1×2 two-thirds slope


I’m surprised this brick didn’t already exist, given how many other inverted slope bricks there are. These could definitely have some usage in sets and builds that require a nice smooth underside.
Lastly for now we have the 2×2 plate with hexagonal rod frame


There’s an octagonal variant of this brick but surprisingly no hexagonal one. I was inspired to design this brick after building the Spring Lantern Festival set and noticing the curved sections of the gazebo roof have a really hard time staying on. They’re attached to the roof via a steering wheel brick. Unfortunately the clutch power isn’t very good since the rim of the wheel is completely rounded. This should offer much better grip.
