Fun fact about chickens: they are my favorite animal!

I think I’m going to dedicate this page to fun facts about chickens. But rather than just list a bunch of fun facts anyone can just find on Google, they’re going to be a little bit more obscure, things I found on my own by random.

There’s a brand of lip balm made by Simone Chickenbone called “Chicken Poop Lip Balm”. The immediate disclaimer is that it isn’t actually made out of real chicken poop (as far as I can tell it’s vegan depedning on your stance on beeswax). It gets its name from an anecdote by the creator of the brand, whose grandfather used to say to put chicken poop on your lips when they’re dry to prevent you from licking them.
